The short answer
- Pace: Results are gradual over months, not days or a single weekend.
- What often comes first: Less shedding, then a conversation about coverage. Not everyone follows that order.
- Program shape: Most patients begin with three treatments, spaced with the growth cycle.
- How we judge it: Photographs and HairMetrix measurements against your own baseline, not memory or bathroom lighting.
- What we will not say: A week count, a follicle count, or a promise of regrowth.
Why a week count would be dishonest
Visible hair change is usually judged over months because the growth cycle is slow, and two people with similar photos can respond differently.
Early studies of platelet treatments are encouraging for some patterns of thinning. They do not tell one person when their part line will look different. Long-bald areas typically show a more limited response than early-to-moderate thinning. Candidacy is decided in person.
What the three-treatment program is for
Essential and Advanced are each built as three treatments, not a single visit. Spacing follows biology, not a marketing calendar. The plan is set at the $299 MOHR Hair Assessment at 910 Park Avenue and tracked in photos. Current prices are on the pricing page: Essential $2,495 and Advanced $3,995 for three treatments. The assessment fee is credited toward the first treatment if you proceed.
PRF is part of every program. Advanced adds an exosome adjunct and a hair-growth IV where appropriate. Exosomes are not FDA-approved for hair growth. Read the limits on the exosomes page before you treat that as a shortcut.
Measure first
The assessment includes history, HairMetrix scalp imaging (density, shaft thickness, terminal-to-vellus ratio), baseline photography, and a candidacy decision. Without that baseline, "it looks better" is a feeling, not a measurement. See what HairMetrix measures.
If you are not ready to book, start with free HairCheck: three photos and a complimentary preliminary review. HairCheck is not a diagnosis and cannot time your results.
What the photographs show
The before and after page shows real patients (crown, vertex, temple, part line, and diffuse thinning). Lighting and angle can differ between visits. Those images are examples, not a forecast for the next person who walks in.
When surgery is the more honest timeline
Non-surgical care is not a substitute for a transplant when the pattern has moved past what follicles you still have can support. If grafts are the real question, read non-surgical care versus a hair transplant before you buy a package of either kind.
Frequently asked questions
How long until I see results?
Gradual over months. Many people notice less shedding before denser coverage. Individual results vary.
How many treatments?
Most patients begin with three, spaced with the growth cycle. Your plan is set at the assessment.
Can HairCheck tell me my timeline?
No. Three photos can only suggest whether an in-person visit may be worth considering.
